  • I personally think Randolph Scott and Joel McCrea, both of whom made some pretty darned good Westerns, should be considered for includion. In fact, I think they're more deserving than some others on the list. Glenn Ford also made some really good Westerns.

  • You have Dale Evans, how abut Roy? He made over fifty westerns, some quite entertaining. Then there are two of my favorites, Gabby Hayes, and Walter Brennan .

these are already profiled in Pals of the Saddle
Many moons ago Jim, you requested I profiled Roy

Jim, Randolph Scott is profiled in Pals Of The Saddle

I set up Western Screen Legends, so as to profile actors,
who had NOT made movies with Duke.
So McCrea and Ford are good candidates.

  • Hi Kieth

For some time I have been meaning to post on this subject and now it probably too late I will.

imo and thats all it is one actor who appeared in numerous westerns mainly in starring roles was Barry Sullivan, very underated but made some good films. Perhaps he might be considered for inclusion ( although I do realise he never worked with John Wayne).
