I'd have to imagine it doesn't tell the whole story or she'd have to admit some quite unpleasant things about her father's activities. From the Wayne books iv'e read it's hard to determine whether he was cheating his clients out of money, terrible at his job or both.

I read the book. Her dad could do no wrong. She said Duke was quite extravagant, a soft touch, was paying big time alimony and child support to Josie, spent a bundle getting rid of Chata and sank a lot of money into the Alamo. The mess went to arbitration and she said it decided Roos owed Wayne $31,613.66 and Wayne owed Roos $94,601.78. She said Wayne was a pall bearer at her father's funeral years later.
