Posts from The Ringo Kid in thread „The Professionals (1966)“

That's all, folks. Actually I have about 100 more photos from The Professionals, but I wanted to present a story-in-pictures effect without boring everyone. Hope I succeeded.
There was one still that was apparently cut from the film. It depicts Lancaster standing over a wounded Palance.
If you haven't seen this film, or haven't seen it recently, perhaps these photos will motivate you to seek it out.

    We deal in lead, friend.

Not to worry--you succeeded ;-)) Also earned a salute too.

For all the times ive watched this great movie, I never realized till Bill started posting these great stills--that Lee Marvin had two handguns on him--a revolver and a Colt .45--even though I KNEW--he had two--I just never really thought much on it im guessing because the moving being as good as it is.

I especially liked this one also because you get a good view of an original WWI or pre WWI--HOYT holster for Marvin's Colt .45. I had one at one time which had belonged to a WWI infantry Captain who had been a life long family friend--Captain Cole. However, it was stolen many years ago.

Hi Bill, this one too has always been a favorite of mine just like the men on missions type movies. I still remember the first time I saw it--was shown on WTBS-Atlanta, and was just before Hurricane Allen blew through Kingsville (my hometown) and killed power for 2 weeks after flooding a some electrical-worker guy got electrocuted because he bent over and grabbed a down power line that was lying in a puddle of water.
