Agar was one who wouldn't make Xmas. He went and rounded up the horses but couldn't make the trip. I can't remember if he pulled out on his own or J.H. paid him off. But he went home to die with family. I saw this on a big screen when it first came out. The scene was around and got cut out. Reappeared when it hit Tv but has disappeared again. Rick

I've carried a Det Spl both on and off duty since the 70's. Recently I bought a Walther PPKs in SS. Like Bond .......James Bond. And thought maybe I've been wrong all these years. But the newness has worn off and if I was to go where I feel the need, the Colt would be with me. Two in the chest ...... one in the head........ and even the jolly green giant will fall dead

Back in 1976 I introduced my dad to something called WD 40, he said it would never replace 3and One. When we cleaned out the house there was a can of WD 40 in the house ,garage and car. Cleaning guns was done with Hoppe's oil, and was surprised to learn I don't use it , instead I use G96, Breakfree,or something with the term , gun treatment in it. Up until a few years ago I thought Neats and Saddle Soap was the way to go, but I've read studies of what I said about it and have switched away from …

TBONE Those yeller grips Duke used in most of his 60's films were mad of Catalin. A pre plastic material If you contact Buffalo Bros you can get a pair which are copies, not catalin as they go for as much if not more than ivory. If you go to the expense of buying a Bianchi rig the L A S T thing I would apply to it is NEATS FOOT OIL. That stuff breaks down the fibers of the leather. If you want to darken the belt put it out in the sun light. Thats called ..... tanning. Think of that hide as skin …

Yes Sir THanks again I know I offered to pay postage, but I saw it was only 89 cents. So I got to thinking it would cost me more than that to send you the 89 cents. And then what if the envelope broke, there would have been pennies all over the place. And just as I told you , once I explained what it was, Duke thought it was his. Rick

Well Tbone I've heard his personal choice was the 32-20cal , which was a popular caliber in the late 19th - early 20th century. And paired with a Winchester of the same a favorite of the cowboys. Perhaps in that photo of the Morrisons in which Clyde is toting a handgun, is a 32-20. Wyatt Earp , Bat Materson, use to buy pawn shop guns and sell them as their own .Perhaps Duke did the same thing. Its been a while but it seems the one stolen in Wash. was a 44/40.
