When I saw "Brannigan" in the theater there was something that I've never seen in any showing of the film anywhere else. At the opening...prior to the first scenes and credits...John Wayne talked to you and in his unique voice said (best of my memory)...
"We have a new club...the Brannigan Fan Club. If you like the movie...tell all your friends. If you don't like the movie...you're out of the club!"
That set the stage for an enjoyable movie but it seems that part was only in the original theatrical release and never seen again."It was me...I shot Liberty Valance." -
Now, that sounds funny as hell! I wish there was somewhere to see that small introduction.
