Now that 3D blu rays are a thing and 3D technology has moved much further since the red/blue glasses days a proper 3D Hondo release on blu ray could be stunning.

I watched Hondo this week on tv. A decent movie, i loved watching the credits. This is probably the second time I have watched it.
Loved all the Ford guys in it. -
I never much cared for Hondo. I really don't like the Page character. Maybe that's why I don't watch it.

I differ from you, Kevin, in my opinion of Hondo. I liked it very much and loved getting the blue ray version of it when it came out.
I am shocked that money grubbing Hollywood still hasn't released this film in a 3D DVD. I know it would sell. Like I said many posts and years ago, I saw this in 3D on TV in the early 90's. But I think it would look awesome on our Big Screen TV's today! We can only hope they change their minds in the near future.

I too remember watching the 3D on TV. I actually recorded it on VHS, I know that it is not 3D but I still have it. The last time I watched it I remember it still had some of the 3D elements to it, as long as you used the blue and red glasses you needed to use in those days. It would look awesome on a big screen TV. I also would like to see it released on BluRay.

At first I thought the role was better suited to Glenn Ford, but when I watched the film again I realised Wayne had made the character his own.
It did seem silly when the boy said he was six, as he was clearly about ten.
