Is it true that The Duke and his co-star Geraldine Page didn't get on ? Or alternatively is it another urban myth ?
Page came from the Broadway stage and not film acting and Duke thought her performance was not good and was amazed that she was nominated for an Academy Award for her performance in "Hondo". She also reportedly had a cleanliness problem which left her body odor hard to take. It was also reported she was free and easy sexually and more than a few crew members took advantage of that...I guess they must have held their noses to do so.
