  • Ah, It's A Wonderful Life is an excellent film. I always watch it around the Holidays along with Scrooge.

I just finished watching Thirteen Days again for the fifth time. I love this film. You can really feel the tensions and worries that abounded during those scarry days long ago. You couldn't pay me enough to be President and have to make decisions that effect the lives of so many people. No wonder they always look years older when they leave office as they did going in.

  • Last of the Dogmen with Tom Berenger. I'm not a hugh Berenger fan, but I think he did a great job in this one. A pretty good film all around. :D

  • Watched The Last Outpost w/ Ronald Wilson Reagan, Bruce Bennett and Noah Beery Jr. Sure is a great Civil Wartime--western.

In case anyone is interested in buying this movie at DDDvD.com, it is in another title called: Cavalry Charge :rolleyes:

  • Watched "Thunder Road," supposedly a cult favorite. Robert Mitchum was good, but the movie was so-so. Mitchum's son, James Mitchum, seemed stiff as a board with none of the charisma of his father. James appeared in one John Wayne movie, "In Harm's Way," as an injured sailor.

  • I watched An American Haunting. This is the story of the Bell Witch in Tennessee back in 1817. Know the story but it was different in the movie. It starred Donald Sutherland and Sissy Spacek. Thought it was going to be a great movie, but it was weird. Just released this week on DVD.

    Cheers B)

  • Flags of our Fathers. Took my wife and we both enjoyed it. It was nice to see a lot of younger people there watching the sacrifice of those who are aptly named the "Greatest Generation". Take care all. I haven't deserted you, I just never seem to get the time these last couple of months. Bless all of you.

  • Hey, Bo, good to see you back! Don't be a stranger!!

Tonight, we watched Houseboat with Cary Grant and Sophia Loren. I thought we'd seen every Cary Grant movie there was to be seen, but this was the first time for this one. It's billed as a romantic comedy. It was OK, but seemed to wander in too many directions. I wasn't laughing too much, although Cary Grant exhibited his usual charm and of course Sophia Loren wasn't too hard to look at - she has her own special charm ;) .

I'll have lots time in the next couple of weeks to watch movies . . . .

  • This morning I watched "Frankie and Johnnie" with Pacino & Pfeiffer. Kinda raunchy.

This afternoon I watched "Bridges of Toko-Ri" with William Holden, Grace Kelly and Mickey Rooney. Better than I remembered. Of course, it's probably been 35 or 40 years since I last saw it.
