  • Hi, Everyone!

I live in Winterset and serve with Wayne on the John Wayne Birthplace Board of Directors. I signed up here last May during the run-up to and for time after the Birthday Celebration, but have never posted anything - just read what you all had to say. Wayne pretty well keeps you updated on what's happening in Winterset so I never felt the need to post. Yesterday I got an email from the board admins that said if I stayed inactive I'd get bumped off (reasonable) and I didn't want that to happen.

  • I spend a lot of time on another board - http://www.iowacarry.org - and serve as a moderator there. So, my 'free time' is pretty well committed. But, you folks run a great board here and I sure don't want to get bumped off. No doubt I'll have more to post about and will try to keep up on this board as much as I can.

We're going through some transitions here at the Birthplace - all for the good! - and Wayne or I will have several things to report pretty soon.

  • Hi, Bill! I'll pass along your "Howdy" to the ladies!

Zuke's a great guy. We're sure glad he has joined us on the Board at the Birthplace. Some of us have been on the Board for 28 years now and several others for a considerable amount of time as well. It's good to have some new blood to bring some new ideas. When you come, don't just slip in and out - make some noise so we know you're in town!
