I've heard Rommels voice as well of voices of Frieddrich Paulus, Gerd von Rundstedt, Ewald von Kleist and a few other German Generals and GFMs. Rommels sounded like a "normal" mans voice. I think I even heard GFM Schorners voice in a doc once-and seem to recall it sounded a bit high pitched to me. Which is good and funny to me because I loathe Schorner and everything he stood for. This jerk made hi men stand or die-while he abandoned them fleeing to some mountain retreat and was captured wearing Civilians clothing. He did this and lived-yet this ardent nazi-B****** sentenced to death by hanging and by firing squad-hundreds if not thousands of soldiers much braver than he ever was.
