Well respected over here, RIP Ken -
Hi
Ken Russell always came across to me as a seedy nasty individual making films highlighting sex and depravity. During the making of Tommy he shot a dance sequence on Southsea pier a nice victorian pier very well loved after he had finished the pier was a smouldering wreck.
But I mustn't be ungratious so rip Mr Russell wherever you end up.Regards
Arthur

Rest in Peace Bill. I remember you best in: The Outlaw Josey Wales as the Yankee Captain: Captain "Red Legs" Terrell, as well as a Black Widow Biker in both: Every Which Way But Loose and Any Which Way You Can and also as an Army or Police Officer in: First Blood.
Go slow........

McKinney was also in The Gauntlet and Bronco Billy. He and Clint Eastwood must have been good friends since he had become a mainstay in a number of his movies. He also played Matt Dillons father in Tex.
-
I remember McKinney's crazy cameo opposite Eastwood and Jeff Bridges in THUNDERBOLT AND LIGHTFOOT with the rabbits in the car trunk. He did a nice job in THE SHOOTIST with the Duke.
