Just heard that Phil Everly, of The Everly Brothers has passed away at 74 from some kind of pulmonary disease. Man, did those two make some beautiful music or what. Walk Right Back was my favorite, but their songs were so good, any one of them would've been your favorite.

Alicia Rhett, oldest surviving cast member of 'Gone with the Wind,' dies at 98
CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The oldest surviving cast member of "Gone with the Wind" has died in South Carolina. She was 98.
Alicia Rhett played India Wilkes in the 1939 film starring Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable.
Kimberly Farfone Borts is spokeswoman for the Bishop Gadsden Episcopal Retirement Community in Charleston, S.C. She told The Associated Press that Rhett died about 5 p.m. Friday at Gadsden, where she had lived since August 2002.
In the movie, India Wilkes is a sister of Ashley Wilkes, with whom Scarlett O'Hara is deeply in love before Ashley marries his cousin and Scarlett becomes involved with Rhett Butler.
The news release says Alicia Rhett was born Feb. 1, 1915, in Savannah, Ga.
Farfone said Rhett also was a portrait painter who sketched her fellow actors on the set.

RIP Phil Everly. I am very saddened to hear this news. The Everly Brothers were amongst my all time heroes.
Phil and Don, were the epitome that was great about 50' & 60's music.
The Everlys were amongst the very few greats, that were still around, so Phil's passing is even more poignant.I had the pleasure of seeing them live on their 1983 Reunion Tour,
and this is one of my all time favourite songs, as performed on that show.
It is a song I often sang and played, in my own stage act and one I also wish I had written.[extendedmedia]

Graham Nash has a an autobiography out that I just read. He talked about how influential the Everly Brothers were on his work.
A few nights ago, I recorded a program off my local PBS station about the history of The Hollies and at the beginning, Nash says how much he and Allan Clarke loved The Everly Brothers and how much they were influenced by them in their music careers.
