  • There are probably 30+ John Wayne movies I've watched 10+ times. Other than those Josie Wales is a personal favorite along with The Mag 7, Dances With Wolves, the odd numbered Indiana Jones movies, the original Star Wars trilogy, Casablanca, Costner's Robin Hood, the first three Rocky movies and First Blood, some of the Star Trek movies

On the lighter side Blazing Saddles, Major League (not the sequels), Bull Durham, Slap Shot, Fast Break, and Smokey and the Bandit

I'm sure there are others that I can't think of right now.

Edit- Forgot White Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street, Sound of Music and Wizard of Oz and I refuse to list the Disney movies and their kind that I've watched over and over through four kids.

  • I could watch the classics hundreds of times, more so than the current ones. But I did like a lot The King's Speech. Maybe I liked it a lot because of the history. But I've seen this movie more than 10 times. Sometimes you find some current ones that you want to see many times.

The First Deadly Sin Watched it a great many times because Frankie
was in it and wanted so very much for him to
become Sanders' Delaney so he could make
movies of the other Delaney books. Sadly,
would like to say the script made Frankie
unacceptable as Delaney, but that wasn't so.
Just wasn't Frankie's type of role. But, for
anyone who loves an intelligently written old
style detective novel, try Lawrence Sanders'
"Deadly Sins" series....there are four of them.
Better make sure you have all of them available,
because you will want to start the next as soon
as you close the book before it.
    The Sands of Iwo Jima
    The Long Grey Line
Big Hand for a Little Lady

I didn't list any Duke films as that's a given, as I'm on this forum, that they get watched regularly!;-)

  • Pardon my ignorance, but where do I search on Amazon for these deals? By artist? Western?

Now that I've been approved for my disability, I can afford to order some movies, just not too many at once!!

Usually when I look on Amazon--I just type in the name of the movie-TV series--or main person in it--and i get good results.
