Already tried that one, it is OK,
and as far as I can see so are the others.
It seems some companies are really closing down
on their content

Strange, all the videos play for me.

I have a few of mine blocked on You-Tube, but only in parts of Europe mainly in Germany, but I have over 70 that play just fine here in the U.S.A.

I know it's the law, but I regret that we can not put some photos or videos on the Internet without being prosecuted for not respecting the copyright.

There is nothing to stop us posting on YouTube,
but what is a shame is that when the links become dysfunctional
it makes the contents of our YouTube forum look poor!
Hopefully to avoid this, we may periodically
need to go back over our uploads, check them
and if necessary seek a new source for the video

Absolutely. That's why I do not use youtube, but a personal site (Hebergeur?) !

Kevin, as I tried to explain in another post, I prefer to use a personal site to place clips. I limit the time for these clips wich may be involved with copyright.
youtube uses a powerful specific software that analyze the videos to detect those concerned with copyright.
If I limit the length of my links is not to penalize copyright holders ...
If it is a problem, I remove my clips without any difficulty.

About the video removed, perhaps it would be useful to create a post that would indicate these videos and allowing authors to correct it by giving a new link or by removing the existing invalid link.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

Romy,
We have asked for the author's too check their links,
and have met with no response.
It would be too time consuming for the admin team
to check each individual link, as indeed I tried,
but quite frankly had enough after a couple of hours!
There seems no requirement for another thread highlighting this problem,
as indeed, this is the the reason for this one.
I also have reposted Chester's initial post making the same point.

I've gone through and fixed a few, but it is a little time consuming. I will do a few at a time, as I am able.
