Maureen's struggle to honor John Wayne ...

On May 20, 1979, Maureen is on the way for Congress to get the gold medal for the Duke, dying.
With others, she put all her energy, and May 23, Congress approved the request.
Jimmy Carter signed a decree May 26, 1979.
The medal have, as expected, the inscription "John Wayne, American"
A few days later the Duke died.
