  • There is an excellent one on Pappy Ford called The American West of John Ford on the John Wayne "The Tribute Collection" that has about 20 of Duke's B movies, and McClintock, and the Angel and the Badman. I found two copies for $5 in a Wal-mart bin. I should think they would be good for beginners. Sure do show the progression not only of Duke, but movies and stunts themselves. KPKEITH

God, she reminds me of me! DUKE

  • I loved the music at the end, does anyone know what it is? But other than that, for Duke fans all that was rudimentary knowledge and nothing to write home about. But it's a good clip to introduce the uninitiated to John Wayne.

Jim, it sure sounds like music from a TV western,
can't be sure, without going through them all!

  • Great stuff Robbie, well done, blew my theory anyway!!

Perhaps the best part of "Rooster Cogburn" too.

What exactly does Kurt say at the end "The name John Wayne has entered our lexicon as a ******* for strength and patriotism", what's the missing word?
