    Plot Summary
    An agent for the Cattlemens Association goes undercover to prison to try to find out who's behind a cattle-rustling gang. When he finds out, he "escapes" from prison and gets in touch with the gang's contact man and manages to join the gang, hoping to discover the identity of their leader. Things start getting complicated when he finds himself falling in love with the contact man's sister.

    A nitrate print of this film survives in the UCLA Film and Television Archives, and is not listed for preservation.


    One of over 700 Paramount productions, filmed between 1929 and 1949,
    which were sold to MCA/Universal in 1958 for television distribution,
    and have been owned and controlled by Universal ever since.
    However, because of legal complications, this particular title was not included
    in the original television package and may have never been televised.

  • Sunset Pass is a 1933 American Pre-Code film based on a Zane Grey novel, directed by
    Henry Hathaway, and starring Randolph Scott, Tom Keene,Harry Carey, and Noah Beery.


    A second 64-minute Sunset Pass was released on October 1, 1946.
    In the 1946 film, James Warren was cast as "Rocky" and Nan Leslie as Jane Preston.


    Hathaway directed Scott, Carey and Beery in several similar Zane Grey Western films in 1933.
