I'll agree. The Searchers is tops on my list of rewatchable movies, with The Quiet Man and True Grit close behind. One that is not on the list, but I watch often is Shepherd of the Hills.

I also really like Trouble Along the Way
The Cowboys
Surprised not to see ‘Rio Bravo’; and (the best films ever made) ‘She Wore a Yellow Ribbon’.
Rio Lobo has beautiful ladies
But I'd go for The Shootist or Stagecoach
Trouble Along The Away, Alamo, and Tycoon, I have watched many times.
Pittsburgh is up on my list as well. I also like McQ.
If I was going to limit myself to just eight of his films:
1. The Quiet Man
2. McLintock!
3. Rio Bravo
4. Donovan's Reef
5. Comancheros
6. The Searchers
7. She Wore a Yellow Ribbon
8. Big Jake
The Quiet Man is my favorite too! 🙂
"The Big Trail" is an excellent movie for a weekend. "Hellfighters", "Rio Lobo", "Flying Leathernecks" and "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon" are probably the Duke movies I watch most frequently.
Nice thing about a thread like this is that there are no wrong answers!
It’s fun hearing people’s favorites!
Personally, I really enjoy all his movies with The Shootist at the top, and his really early movies from the 30's and 40's close behind!
