She has been regarded as Mrs. John Wayne according to John Candy while making Only The Lonely with her. She was definitely in the same ball park with Duke; he was very fond of her, as she was of him. She gets emotional today, over 25 years after John Wayne's death, because of their great friendship.
I'm talking about Maureen O'Hara. It's amazing that they only made five (5) movies together, but they were memorable ones.

In my opinion, great classics with a very classy lady.
There's no doubt that red head is a ball of fire.
