yes itdo you are right he does kick her butt, and when he drags he it is because she looses her shoe and one of the men from the train station gives it back to her and he throws her to the ground when he is confronting her brother about her "fortune" and there is no hitting with the stick.

    to one and all,

the passing of bob hope is a sad time for us all as who will now enertain the troops when they are far from home. i said these things happen in threes so in the last few months we have lost three of the greats who have no modern actor/ress to replace them as they were fine people. they are as my son says waiting for their wings to become angles may they all have a wonderful time together.

    cheers smokey and little smokey

    :D

well if it wasn't for this site where else would we get to meet and greet people of like mind as you say its the duke who brings people from all walks of life and from all over the world together.

hi mrs chester & the mr,

thanks for the info about this and im glad that i don't make that league yet (ingoramus) :D we believe but have had some bad experiences so am a bit gun shy on church matters. if i am ever in need of this or can help others then i will do so. i suppose some of this attuide is from living in the bush and only having a small community to help each other out in times of crisis. the local priest only came to our little place about once a month and he was there only on a saturday and his services were held in the pub's lounge

    hi chester,

well i suppose that for most of us aussies we think of westerns as being cowboys and indians. yes the music is great in the movie

    cheers smokey

    hi monique,

i can't believe that C&I mag has man from snowy river in its top 100 westerns as it's not really a western it is in actual fact a movie produced from a poem by an australian poet call banjo patterson about the colt from old regret set in the high country of newsouth wales and victoria in aust.
if you would like a copy of this poem i can type it up for you so that you can see what i am talking about. if you ever get the chance to watch it do so as the scenary is how it is in the high country.

    robbie,

well for once i have to agree with you about the music in some of the movies is to much and takes away from the movie but we should thank our lucky stars jw didn't make a movie like seven brides for seven brothers with all that music. yuk
i have found also that some times the music becomes so loud that you can't hear the dialog from the actors has that happened to anyone elses movies?

    cheers smokey

    hi chester,

it's good when we can make others laugh so thanks for the great laugh i was laughing so much that the little bloke came in to find out what was so funny. :)

    keep them coming

    cheers smokey

    hi chester,

yes it was long but the information was great it helped with finding out how bob started doing shows for the troops. i think that we all have to agree that he has done more for the moral of the troops than any other showman through the decades with his live shows. so as we have said it don't matter where you are born just as long as you love the country you adopt as home. this man still didn't say whether or not bob was a US cit. just pulling your leg.

    cheers smokey :D
