    Hi all,

I'd just like to say, a belated happy birthday:present:
to those who have celebrated over the past
few weeks. I hope you all had great
days, and sure you don't look a day older than
the last time I saw you.

    Hi all,

I'm just waiting for my new HD box
from sky, they have a movie channel
and a sports channel in HD, which should
be good as the new football season starts
    in about 5 weeks.

I'm not sure about starting a new movie collection
in HD, I'm sitting with 2 has it is, VHS and DVD.
I'll wait a while and see just what they release.

    Hi all,

I just had to come on and share this one.

I just got a new TV at the weekend, it's
one of those 42" HD LCD things, anyway,
I told my wife that the first thing that I was
going to do when I had it set up was watch
a John Wayne movie on it. I had in mind to
watch "THE QUEIT MAN". It took a wee
whlie to set it up, we had to set up the cable
and the DVD recorder. AS we were tuning
the channels the first one to come up was
Channel 5, and the first face I saw on the
screen was no other that that of the great
man himself, they were showing "CHISUM".
I couldn't believe it, nor could my wife, it was
just so apporoprite that the Duke should be
the first face to show up on that big screen.
Needless to say I sat down and watched the
end of the movie, then "THE QUEIT MAN"
which was followed by the "THE SEARCHERS"
Now that was a great day's TV.

    Hi all,

Firstly I would like to say a big belated happy
birthday to Carl, Moonshine Sally, Cindyrella,
and Mike. I'm sorry to be so late, but I hope
you all had as good a birthday as I had, and
thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes.

    Hi all,

I'm sorry that itdo feels that he can't continue
to contribute to this great site. Although there
may be things that are written from time to time
that we all don't agree with, I certainly wouldn't
want any threads or posts censored because
they are not seen as politcally correct. I hope
that anyone coming across this site for the first
time sees a fun place where no one takes
    themselves to serious,

Good luck Itdo, I hope you make it back this
    way sometime.

    Hi all,

We've been very lucky these pass few days,
spring is very definitely in the air. It's warm
and the sun is shinning. the evenings are
getting longer, it's still bright until after 8.15pm,
and they say we're in for more of the same over
    the Easter weekend.

    Hi all,

Carl, I wish I could come and enjoy a dinner
with you and Jay in Texas. I'll be thinking of
you both when I lift my fisrt pint of Guinness today.

Mike, it looks like we are going to get snow before
the weekend is over, if you are out in it take care.

    Hi all,

Well it's St Patrick's weekend, that time of year
when the whole world becomes IRISH.
"THE QUIET MAN" is watched again, buckets
of Guinness will be consumed, while Irish whiskey
will be sipped in vast amounts, Irish music
and dancing with be the norm. The craic will be 90
(that's having a good time, not drugs).
    I wish you all a HAPPY ST PATRICK'S DAY.:holiday_irish::holiday_irish: :holiday_irish: :holiday_irish:

    Hi all,

A bit cooler this morning with a wee drop
of rain, they say we'll have sunshine later.

Carl, hope the people in the other town
were all ok after the Tornado hit.

    Hi all,

Carl, I agree with you when it comes to
Nicholas Cage, I just don't like his acting.
There is not one of his movies that I would
sit and watch. Sometimes it helps to come
from a famous family, and it has worked for him.
