I have The Texan complete dvd series, and it was about equal in his and miss. The theme music was kinda lame. Rory Calhoun was very good-had many great guests, but the production values were kinda cheap. They used three sets for many different towns. Its not a terrible series-but its not a great series-not Calhouns fault. Some episodes were great-some were hard to sit through.

I bought the complete series on Dvd about 2 years agoand thought it a very well made show. I thought all but maybe 1-2 episodes were excellent--which is very rare for any TV series. Pat Conway was excellent as the Sheriff. This is a series I highly suggest people to get and watch.

I HAD season 1, tried my best to give it a try, but thought it a pretty lame series. However, they came out with a dvd set of the Ronald Reagan episodes which I bought but have had no timw to watch yet.Hopefully these will be good.

On seeing it again--I only liked a few episodes--unless your a Chuck Connors fanatic--or a Westerns fanatic? this series aint for you.The Loner is another that isnt as good as it could have been.

Thanks and as far as I know w2e did. Last I heard 14 people died as a result from the storm and three looters were shot and I think two of those died. I havent heard from my oldest brother who lives in Galveston and has a house right on the water. My power is still out and im at a startbucks using wifi. Ive been here for 5 hours telling askers whats going on.

Im currently awaiting for power to be restored frromhurricane harvey-to start watching season 5 on on dvd of this series. About 95% of the series so far-has been very well made--few misses.

BTW--ive purchased the original 1964 one of a kind Chicago Tribune pree photo for the 1964 premier episode pressphoto for Daniel Boone. Great photo of Fess Parker. Id like to get it copied and sent to someone here for posting. I had everything on photo bucket--but they are forcing people to pay to host photos so all mine disappeared and ive no way to share.
