Strother's roles weren't always very large but his performance in those roles were always great. He always added so much to the scenes he was in. I believe he is one of the greatest character actors of our time.

Chester great clip!

I enjoyed Glen in True Grit. He is a talented singer and a passable actor. If you watch the video posted above you will see that he doesn't take his acting very seriously.

Thanks for all of your responses. They are all truly great movies. Maybe five is to low of a number. LOL

To all, thanks for the posts. Everyone has great selections. I hope we get some more input from other members.

If you were limited to only five Duke movies what would they be and why? (sorry if we already have a thread like this going.)

awesome, loved it.

12 pack, I'm a Chiefs fan so I believe my odds of them winning are a little worse than you and your Falcons. None the less you gotta love football season.

Anyone else get a chance to catch the Duke tribute on AMC last week (AUG 18)? There were many great selections on. Very enjoyable watched 7 Duke movies nonstop.

nice post Colorado. Thanks.

Did the Duke generally use his own clothing and props in his movies? I read somewhere that he had the rifle that he used in Stagecoach modified and then used it in most if not all of his westerns. Was the same true for hats, pistols, etc.

The two that come to my mind first are Chuck Roberson and Yakima Canutt
