There are several videos from the Everlys reunion concert at Royal Albert Hall on youtube.
I highly recommend the first two albums they released after the reunion -- EB84 and On the Wings of a Nightingale. There was a third album but it's not as good as the first two.
There is also a DVD of the Royal Albert Hall concert.

I adore the Everlys. I saw them at their reunion concert in Royal Albert Hall in London -- both nights. They were just as amazing as ever. RIP, beautiful Phil.

I went to comingsoon.net and after some searching saw the James Dean titles under March 11, 2014. I have no idea why they're listed for March 11 as they are already all released. Must be some kind of glitch.
-
The three James Dean movies are already available in a Blu-ray box set (James Dean Ultimate Collector's Edition) and as individual Blu-rays. Not sure what March 11 is all about.

The reviews for each disc at http://www.dvdbeaver.com state they're region free.

Mark the 1/6 modeler has also created figures of characters from Sergeant Rutledge.
Here's the thread with a lot of photos plus info on the work involved in creating the figures.

One of Mark's photos.

Mark the 1/6 modeler is at it again. This time he created a beautiful diorama of one of the most poignant scenes from SWAYR, the one with the dying Trooper John Smith. I dare you to look at this and not get a lump in your throat!
Anyway, here are two of Mark's photos, but if you click on the link to the thread at the Open Range forum for this diorama you will find several more photos plus info from Mark on all the work involved in creating it.

Twilight Time has announced it will release Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation on Blu-ray on April 8, 2014. No artwork or other details yet. I'm sure looking forward to this one -- I love this movie!

Just a reminder that The Black Swan will be released on Blu-ray on December 2.

Hawkswill, this has not been photoshopped. It is a vintage still from the days long before photoshopping. But I think they hand tinted a black and white photo. Looks more tinted to me than faded from the sun. Maybe it was tinted --and then faded!

Dean Smith knew James Garner when he (Garner) was a young wannabe actor and still going by the name Jim Bumgarner. When Smith decided the time had come to get into the movie business, he approached Bumgarner -- now just Garner -- and Garner gave him the names of a studio person to contact and helped him get his SAG card. I mention this briefly in my piece -- Smith goes into this in much more detail in the book.
He did some stunts and doubling for Garner in the 1994 Maverick movie but I don't think he worked on the original series.

I recently finished Dean Smith's memoir Cowboy Stuntman: From Olympic Gold to the Silver Screen, and it was a great read, with lots of stories from his days making movies with John Wayne. He devotes a whole chapter to The Alamo, which he considers one of the highlights of his long career.
I did a write-up about Dean and his memoir at my Ben Johnson page, as he and Ben were good friends. Dean participated in Ben's pro-celebrity rodeos benefiting various children's charities, and Ben is mentioned several times in the book. There is also plenty of stories about the Duke and "The John Wayne Stock Company"!
Also quite a bit about John Ford.
If you'd like to take a look at my little write-up, here's the link: benjohnsonfanpage.shutterfly.com
