Watched this on blu ray recently for te first time in AGES! It's a great, great film even after all theses years. On top of that the blu ray transfer is superb!
-
Absolutely fantastic images Bill!
One of advantages of being away for a while is you come ack and have a nice surprise!
-
Congratulations guys on all your milestones!
Been a hectic start to the year hence the lack of posting, doesn't mean I'm not thinking about how all you guys are doing!
All the best,

Blu-ray.com review of the new Blu-ray of How Green Was My Valley. Looks like a stunner!
Wow, those screen grabs within the review are simply stunning. I have never seen this film but it looks like another to add to this for sure. Thank you Paula for the heads up!

Dooley, is this the one? If it is, then yes, I got it.
I've posted about 15 Mighty Joe Young publicity pictures to my Ben webpage and have collected a bunch more (including this one). Someday I'll get around to scanning them and adding them to my online archive. This is just a quick scan I made to post it here.
Lol, yes Paula that's the one!
I wish I'd known it was you as I wouldn't have bid it up so much; we were the only two bidding on it!
Well at least between the two of us the folks on JWMB can see both! -
I might have been the keen fan who bought the Ben Johnson photo. Can you remember it enough to describe it?
Hi Paula, it was a month or so ago, Ben was wearing a leather jacket if I remember rightly, I think it was from Mighty Joe Young.

Couldn't find a Ernest Borgnine specific thread so decided to post this here!
Not from the Wild Bunch but from another fave of mine Escape from New York. -
Fantastic Tribute. Really moving.
I bought this recently. There was a Ben Johnson auto too but was outbid by a very keen fan!

I've been very slack over the last month so being snowbound I thought I'd do some scanning!

Wow! A man betrayed!! That's one I've never seen.
Olive films are single handedly dominating all my blu ray purchases.
Mclintock is released here in on region B but I think I'll wait for the Olive release. -
20th Century Fox and Home Theater Forum are partnering for a poll called "Fox Vote Your Choice" in which film fans can vote for titles from four decades (1930s, 1940s, 1950s, 1960s) they'd like to see released as part of Fox's Studio Classics Blu-ray line.
You can see the thread here and find the link to the poll:
http://www.hometheaterforum.co…lu-ray-for-the-first-time
There is one John Ford title and two John Wayne titles:
1930s Steamboat Round the Bend
1960s The Undefeated and North to Alaska
You can vote once a day so if you want these movies on Blu-ray -- (or any other of the movies listed -- there are many wonderful titles included in the poll) -- head on over and make your choice. Every day.
That's amazing... Could be a long list! Thanks for posting

Hi Scott,
A very warm welcome to the JWMB.
From what Ladyhawk (Keith Payne) has been telling us, it looks like a must read!
All the best and look forward to some online banter -
The Cimarron Kid with Audie Murphy.
I'm persevering with Audie Murphy's movies and am glad.
This was the best one I've seen so far and really enjoyed it.
This is probably due, in no small part, to the fact it was directed by Budd Boetticher! -
"It Happened One Night", a great comedy released in 1934 with Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert.
Brilliant film. The blanket between the bed scene is movie gold.

That sounds like good prices for a format I cant afford to collect ;-))
Oh and, just remembered the title to that $3 buck DvD: Treasure of the Sierra Madre and i got it because its a 2-disc set. I have the movie but will be giving it away to a friend. That one is one of my top favorite Bogie movies topped only by: Sahara and They Drive By Night.
Treasure of the Sierra Madre is a terrific film! They are releasing it here in the UK this month as a limited edition Blu Ray steelbook, already reserved mine!
