Thanks for the info there TRK,seems like you knew many different vets growing up.I only know one actually, well he wasnt in any wars but he served with the canadian military for 35yrs,retiring a Cheif Warrent officer.

Im ashtonished at the RATE that veterans are passing each week, everyday i read the paper and it never fails, locally their is always at least 1 or more veterans in the obituary section which is a sad thing.

I found this site one time that told all of these great vet stories,i beleve they were all about how these soldiers and officers in the germany military in the second world war recieved their decorations for heroism etc.Ill try to dig it up.

Were you in the armed forced by any chance TRK?i had some thoughts about joining the Navy last summer but decided to go to collegeand take power engineering instead....although i do have some friends in the military, and then some that plan on going.

Thanks for the info TRK,your friend DRANK 3 litres of BEER?...lol thats a fair ammount i must say.

Im VERY interested about war stories and of hearing german soldiers serving in both wars.He must have been a high ranking official if had served through both wars...quite the veteran i must say. I dont want to put you through any trouble but any info dug up will be greaty appreciated,i would love to look at anything.

I bet those memoirs would be very interesting. We are trying to get my great uncle to do that as well,i believe he is 87 now and served in the SEEBEE's,i expect you all know what that is from the Duke movie.

Also,he "chummed" around with the Rockafellers and all those highly powerful people but thats just to name one...i was told he was an important guy back in the day and im hoping he does write his memoirs so i can learn more about his past.
