I did that too! When his final week was announced, I set up to tape each Tonight Show for that period. Still have them (and, believe it or not, I know where I have them)!
Johnny Carson, although he has been off the air for over a decade, will be sorely missed. Even though we haven't been able to benefit from his comedy and wit all these years, the finality of death makes one realize that there will be no more.
