Guess What? I am now watching Encore Western Channel and they are celebrating Duke's birthday with his westerns. You figure! A western on a western channel? Anyway, I have just watched The Searchers with Jeffery Hunter, Vera Miles and Ward Bond. There are many others but they are the biggies. Another winner here. What's next?

The Sons of Katie Elder is really a good one to watch on Christmas day. Christmas with Duke is always fun and seeing this one makes my day. Wish they make them like this today.

The Apple Dumpling Gang a cute movie with some great actors who are no longer with us. Watched with a child and he hooted all night.

It was a great day for John Wayne movies on AMC. Started out with The Comancheros, El Dorado, Rio Bravo, Hondo, The Shootist, Big Jake, The Cowboys, and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. Couldn't ask for a better list of movies for a day.

Obviously, Carl you have too much free time. But I can list your movies by heart. Great movies for sure. And, I must say, that I am watching McLintock right now. What a great and wonderful movie!

The Far Country with James Stewart and Walter Brennan What else can you say about this movie. It is always one of the great ones with Stewart and adding Brennan that is that much special.

Cowboys and Aliens with Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford Not a bad movie. It wasn't what I thought, but it was not as good as I thought it could be. It is fine for the family.

Angel & the Badman on Encore Western Channel. And also seen some of Duke's "B" movies on that channel, The Desert Trail, The Dawn Rider and Paradise Canyon. Not bad for a birthday, celebration.

Now I am watching El Dorado This is really a cool movie. Even Ed Asner plays a great part in the movie.
