All Duke movies are good to watch, Hatari! is a great movie if you want your spirit lifting very good and light-hearted.

My Cousin and I watched Hatari! on the big screen on Saturday Nov. 1st at our 38th members convention over here in England which we both really enjoyed, also on the bill was Stagecoach.

There showing this on a big screen this coming Saturday at our John Wayne Convention along with Stagecoach.

This movie is the next showing at the John Wayne Convention 1st November 2014 in good old England

Still a great movie one to last, it will always be an enjoyable Wayne movie.

Its a Wayne movie how can anybody not like it, my granddaughter who is 4 years old loves this movie along with her mother me I like em all.

A great Wayne movie with a cast of stars that are hilarious all through the movie especially Pockets

This is a great movie with great music as well, and a lot of humour thrown in as well.

Hey guys an gals glad I joined this group, I have really enjoyed myself over the last few weeks talking and answering questions about the movie Hatari!,
now I have moved from being a newbee to a pilgrim things are looking up. Hatari! is the first movie my granddaughter ever watched, her mum my daughter use to put it on when she was nursing her daughter Miley and she started to notice what was on the tv screen, now she likes to watch Hatari! and McLintock and at the moment she is only 3 years old she is 4 on 2 November a young fan dont yer think. Really like the sketch of Hondo what a great likeness you have got him down to a T, and now I'm a Town Citizen what next newspaperman. Lol

My wife Sandra tells me off at times because I'm always whistling and yes its music from Duke's movies at the moment while I'm typing I'm whistling Just For Tonight from Hatari!. Yesterday it was I'll Take You Home Again Kathleen music from Rio-Grande, don't know what it will be in the morning could be a rendition of them all. lol

Do know that it is about 3 months since I watched Hatari!, my wife says I live and breath John Wayne. On Saturday night when we go for a drink and someone says to me did you watch that John Wayne movie today I would most likely say no, then my wife would say to the person who asked the question, Tom don't have to watch the movie he can tell you the whole movie from beginning to end.

Sean dropped the catch pole the first time he tried, then Pockets drove through a small stream which drenched the rope using the rope he lassooed the Zebra on the second try.
I think Zoos are ok if its an animal that is becoming a rarity any they give children a chance to see animals that they might never see.

Okay now this woman Dianna Knobi supposedly killed by a tame Lion during the making of Hatari for one there is no Lion tame or otherwise in the movie. We saw a Leopard caught in a cage up a tree and a tame Cheetah named Sonja but no Lion, I think someone as got their wires crossed, I have just been to the Wikipedia page and it mentions nothing about the woman.

The cameo roll was to be played by Ward Bond but before filming began on Hatari! Ward Bond passed away on November 5, 1960. The joke Wayne was going to play on his old friend was he was going to get a photo of Wards rear end and a Rhinos and have a contest to see which had the biggest rear end.

And may I also say like Duke, Ward Bond is also missed by all his fans.

The name of the song is, Swanee River that Kurt was trying to play, and Dallas had to come and rescue him, it is a Black Water River.

I think they had to start the movie with some action and best is what they came up with a Rhino catch that didn't come off. Then when the Indian came out of Hospital he asked Sean to leave them alone this season because he thinks they are jinxed as he says, first it was that nice Belgian kid then Brandies father and his own near miss, so Sean leaves them alone until the end, and they catch a beauty and Sean says there Indian that breaks the jinx.

As for Sean not wanting Dallas around, as Pockets told Dallas that Sean bought a woman back with him one time and she didn't like the animals and his way of life so as Pockets put it one day she just got on her broomstick and flew away. I think Sean was afraid that if he fell in love with Dallas the same thing might happen again. So as Pockets said that she "Dallas" had to start it because Sean wouldn't

I think the routine you are looking for is when Sean finds Dallas in his bed and Pockets comes in to ask him something, Pockets asks him who is in his bed and Sean says I don't know and it goes on from there and again in the morning and all Sean keeps saying is I don't Know.
