I love the cast, hate the script, like the battle scenes, hate the cliches, and dislike kidnapping of the general portion. Not one of my faves.

I really think the cast is wonderful, and a tad different from the regular Duke film overall. The first half is what I find most enjoyable, and I lose interest once it becomes the mission to kidnap the general.

The current issue of the magazine Retro Cinema has an interview wit Luke Askew, "Provo" from the film. Interesting read-he said he got the part only because Bruce Dern had to back out due to another commitment.
