    I do not know if this will be any help or not but, here is a little picture story that I did for some Relatives that did a Biography on the Native American part of my family about 25 years ago. :)

    Both of my Grandmothers were Southwestern Native Americans so that is what we call someone like me a Half-Breed or Breed. :rolleyes: In the old Days My Grandmother that raised me would have a Fit if you said Half-Breed or Breed. :fear: But today it is not that bad because of the mixing of the Blood like Mexicans, Indians and Whites. :D After all Quanah Parker was a Half-Breed Also! :lol:

    The little Picture Story is about Quanah Parker the Great Comanche Chief that Did the Poem that John Wayne quoted at the Funeral for Howard Hawks. :(

    The Picture that is on the First Page of the Site Below Hangs in The Smithsonian Institution. This might give you a little more Info. and History on the Great Comanche Chief that wrote the Poem in the 1800s. :)

    Meg and Keith;

    You Can Not Get Anything out of Wayne Ent. or Batjak, because the People that Work there are so Young that they do not know anything about the Duke! I do not think they were even alive yet when Duke was Still Here!!! ;)

    To them It JUST A JOB!!! <_<

    Here is the Poem that Duke Read at Howard Hawks Funeral. :(

    The Second Poem was done by my Grandfather in 1940 shortly before His Passing. Duke wanted a Copy for His Den at His House in Newport Beach, California. :rolleyes:

    Both Poems Hung in Duke's Den next to His Gun Colection until after His Passing and no one knows where both of them are? I think Michael Wayne's Widow Gretchen that now has Batjak has these Things. ^^

    There will be a Copy of Both Poems Hanging at the Museum at the 26 Bar Ranch very Soon. You can go to the site below for a Look See. :D
