we didnt do halloween this year, and i to know what an outhouse is i used to used one as a child but we had to check for redbacks under the dunny seat before we could use it.we had to throw sawdust down it after we had been and done our business, we also had the nightwatchman who came and collected the bucket each night. there are many places now that still use thunderboxes because there is no running water for plumming. the never ending ones can be somewhat scary, one i used had wind blowing back up the hole spooky.

didnt get many children as i forgot to put my front light on so that they would know that i was doing it for them, most of the children were done by 7:30pm as i was a school day the next day

this year the little bloke is going out with his friend to do trick or treat, they only go to family houses of both families, have gotten in lollies for them and placed them into bags so that all i have to do is give them all a bag each. he is going dressed as a army man as he calls it. while it is not really celebrated kids still go round for the free lollies and some of them really go all out when they dressup it is great to see them enjoying themselves, hope i dont get more than 15 children visit otherwise i will run out of lollies.
