    Happy Halloween!

Went to a Halloween costume party last week dressed as Clint Eastwood from “The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly”. Everyone kept coming up to me and saying, “Marty McFly from ‘Back to the Future 3’, Right?”

    Anyway, Happy Halloween!

Isn't that just typical, that a great portrayal is diminshed!

Well, yall, at 62 years of age and then some, I STILL get nightmares from things like that, LOL. I read The Shining and some others back around that time and forced myself to watch a few when made into movies. I really enjoyed them, but...........the nightmares still come. Silly, but, that is just the way it is. Thought I would NEVER get over Silence of the Lambs, but Hopkins is FINALLY one of my favorite performers again....had to see him where he played a super nice guy a few times first, though! And he is excellent at that also. Well, enjoy all your Halloween things.....I will enjoy them vicariously, LOL! This year is NOT one for me to be having nightmares.......Keith

Massively jealous over here! That would be amazing seeing those classics at the cinema with a crowd.
I work right near Boris Karloff's house in Bramshott, England. It's a little walled house on an small plot of land surrounded by roads, like an island.

The one thing we have going on over here, which I'm going to is the remastered release of Kubrick's The Shining.
Got to get some quality viewing in for Halloween!

Just got back from the "Frankenstein/ Bride Of Frankenstein" double feature. What a truly awesome way to see these classics. A good crowd of fans and excellent copies of both films. This is a great way to celebrate Halloween.

i will be sitting with all the lights off so the kids dont come trick or treating all night long. this halloween rubbish really does get my back up and id ban it if i could

I totally agree, it seems to have got out of hand in the UK,
with constant hassle at the door.
Also over here, in some towns and cities, is the underlying threat of intimidation or damage,
to property or vehicles if you don't play along!!

and we had to use old newspaper

We used to have the Daily Mirror cut up into pieces, and hanging on a meat hook.
Amazing what we did with newspapers back then,
one minute we would be eating fish and chips from them,
and the next, they were hanging up in the outhouse!!!

Shows what I [don't] know! Here I was under the impression that those under 60 YO had never even heard of outhouses and now I discover that not only have they heard of 'em but have actually used 'em.

I remember them here, we had them well into the 70's and later.
Boy it used to be cold, sitting out there!

That's brilliant, my daughter is here just reading your post with me,
and we'd love to know how it goes.
As you are a few hours in front us,
we may be able to put some of your 'proven' ideas into practice!

We are creating a haunted house for the kids and having a party. Its the first time we have down this so it should be interesting. The party will include adults so there will be people partaking of "adult" beverages!!

    Hey Todd,
as far as I know we haven't tried that here yet.
I'd love to know what you plan, and what you do to the house?
