    Glad you fixed your issue.

It's not really fixed, Kevin, at least to my complete satisfaction. With Chrome I'm okay but not with IE or Firefox. My problem there is that all my bookmarks/favorites are listed on those two browsers, making it easy to browse my favorite sites. But about all I have bookmarked on Chrome is your site, since Chrome keeps me signed in to Duke Wayne. And I'm leery about importing all my bookmarks/favorites to Chrome because I'm afraid I'll import the signed-in problem too. That's what happened when I imported my IE favorites to Firefox.

I'm beginning to wonder if possibly the so-called "Identity Safe" protection afforded by my security software (Norton 360) could possibly have something to do with the problem. I'm going to disable that add-on and see what happens.

\Hooray, my theory seems to have worked. I disabled the "identity safe" add-on and now my IE browser keeps me identified to the site and signed in (at least this one time).

I knew it - my freedom from having to log in each and every time lasted for one lousy round.

Frankly, Kevin, I'm beginning to think that your recent change of Forum software is at least part of my problem.

Stumpy, I don't know what else to get you to do, I haven't had the issue, and haven't been able to replicate it on any browser here, (IE, Firefox, or Chrome). I use Chrome daily and have never had an issue with logging in here.

Well, today I downloaded Chrome before I logged onto the site and I'm holding my breath but for the first time in quite awhile, it didn't require me to log back in. If this works, I may have to stop using IE or Firefox and start using Chrome.

Still no dice, Kevin. I tried it with Firefox instead of IE snf still got the same thing. The following is the message I keep getting:

I don't experience this problem when I tick the remember me box at login. Sounds like it 'could be' a browser issue.

If you're having this issue then try clearing the cookies & cache in your browser then for good measure close the browser and restart it. See if that cures the problem.

    Kevin,
I've cleared the cookies and cache in my browser, just as you suggested, and the site is still requiring me to jump through the usual hoops in order to post or read the threads in proper order. And yes, I do click the "remember me" box each time I log in. Sure is getting frustrating. And aggravating.

I don't think it's my browser as I've had it for quite awhile and up until about a month or six weeks ago, I never had this problem at all so it must be something wrong with your site software.

Computers, Art - we can't do with 'em and can't do without 'em. Lol

Don't know why but for a couple of months the board has been requiring me to sign in each time I visit whereas in the past it kept me signed in for long periods of time. Is there a reason for that, Kevin (and other computer geeks)?

I just bought a Pioneer all-region DVD player so I can play some of the discs my friends have sent me from other regions. Works great right out of the box. Got it from Amazon for only about $75. S&H included.

Jim, I print my own inlays for professional use and they are as good as anything in the shops.

Have you seen this site ,
    http://www.cdcovers.cc/covers
whereby you tap in the movie's title
and it will let you print off the original film inlay!

    Dumb old me, Keith.

Remember our conversation about this subject, in which I said I wish I had professional-looking labels for the thinner DVD cases? You then suggested the above site for printing my own labels, which I tried, but then decided the process used too much of that very expensive printer ink. Well, it just dawned on me that I can, in most cases, remove the professional artwork from the thicker cases I already have and reuse the same labels on the thinner cases.

For some reason, I was under the impression that those labels couldn't be removed from the commercially-produced cases but today I explored the possibility and discovered that in most instances, the paper-label artwork is just slipped under a clear plastic cover and is easily removed. So I guess you know what my next project will be.

While we're on the subject of printer ink, let me say something and then get some advice from our computer experts.

Currently, I have a Canon all-in-one inkjet. The Canon ink costs an arm-and-a-leg. Since I hardly ever print anything that requires a colored ink (almost all my printing is text only), I'm giving serious thought to giving the inkjet to one of my kids and buying myself a monochrome laser printer.

Anyone on the board use a laser and if so, can you recommend a make and model? I've been doing a bit of online research and the Brother lasers get pretty good reviews. Toner cartridges for a laser cost about $46. on Amazon w/free shipping but according to what I've read, they last much longer than the inkjet color cartridges. Any recommendations?

I may follow your lead and start using the jewel cases again, Keith, with covers printed from the site you showed us. I used those smaller cases at one time, with self-adhesive [mailing] labels I printed showing only the titles, main players, year, running times and whether they were color or B&W. But they were printed only in B&W and didn't look too great. I liked them because they took up much less space, but then I went back to using the regular-sized cases with their commercially-printed covers, since they looked better. But with the site you've given us, I could use the smaller cases again and still have good looking labels.

I wouldn't even have to buy many new jewel cases, since I've stored the ones I formerly used (I'm a packrat and hate to throw away anything.)

With the thinner jewel cases, I might even be able to get all my movies into one bookcase, which would be great.

By golly, that sure looks like it may work, Keith. I printed a sample cover for Rio Bravo and it looks pretty darned good - almost as good as the ones professionally done. The only thing is, I've got to figure out the right size to print for those 5" x 7" DVD cases. Thank you, thank you, thank you, my friend.
