Wow! $250 to over $400 for one, without a stylus, and speeds not checked. A little too steep for me, especially for one that may or may not work. I'm gonna have to find some other way to do this. Thanks anyway.

    Howdy Stumpy,
Sorry to get so late in on this discussion, but just a little side note to what's already been said. I convert a lot of my albums and cassettes to CD, and the problem is, those formats are analog, and CD's are digital. So the source (LP or cassette or 8-track) have to be converted to digital. I purchased a $20 program called "Microsoft Plus! Digital Media Edition" which among other things will convert from analog to digital. It also has the ability to remove the pops and hisses common with LP's. And it will let you edit the recording and label your tracks so when you play the CD the tracks will be labled. Musicmatch will allow you to record a CD, but I am not sure about the quality from analog to digital, or if it will properly convert. Another option is to record it as a WAV, using a program such as Total Recorder. But, WAV's do tend to be of a lower quality soundwise.

Now, here's my question. I recently won an LP from 1943 which contains radio commercials for the John Wayne movie, "Lady Takes A Chance." I would like to trasfer them to my computer and burn them on a CD. However, the LP is a 16 inch radio station LP, rather than the standard 12" LP such as those sold to the public. Any suggestions as to where I might find a turntable large enough to play this thing, or is there a way to convert a standard turntable to handle it?

    Best to all,
