Glad to be of help folks!

I always say if I could get the @$#$@% people that write this junk in a closed room with a baseball bat, I could have all our problems solved inside of 5 minutes. :tank:

    Mark,

This is getting to be more and more of a problem with computers today. Viruses loading themselves and claiming to be an antivirus program that finds all these problems on your computer but that you can't get rid of. Whatever you do, don't pay the ransom money. You'll only dig a deeper hole.

Try out this link and see if you're able to get rid of it after following the steps it explains.

    Dear Folks,

Believe it or not, we're still having the odd problem with sites that don't work well with IE 7. I don't even want to think about going to IE 8 for some time to come and then only after testing.

    Thanks Dakota!

Yes, I've been digging through the manual but there is a lot it doesn't say about how the functions really work, or work in ways you hadn't intended.

    Thanks for the help!

I'm such a bumbler though. I tried to burn a DVD last night, got about 1/2 way through the Flying Tigers when I tried to check the progress of the movie and caused it to jump to the end.

I don't think I was cut out for being a video technician. :stunned:

    Hey Folks,

I'm trying to get some movies I've got on Tivo burned off to DVD and I have a question.

My player will record at different speeds.

If I have a blank DVD that is for 120 minutes of recording, can I slow the speed down and get more time on it?

The blanks I have are for 120 minutes and most of the movies are 2:15 or 2:30.

I'm just wondering if I can slow the recording down and get it on the 120 DVDs or do I have to get DVD's with more record time on them?

    Thanks for the help!

    On a Different Note...

Daylight savings time is coming and in case you haven't heard, the Government has changed it this year. This little change will cause your PC clock and emails to show the wrong time unless you apply a patch from Microsoft.

If you go out to Microsoft.com and do a search for DST you will find the patch there.

    Have fun!

    Robbie,

You might also try loading an antispyware program called Adaware. It often finds stuff that Spybot misses. Your performance issues make me wonder if you're dealing with a virus or spyware.

You may have already said so I apologize if we're covering old ground but is your antivirus software up to date? Are you scanning your system regularly?
