Posts from DakotaSurfer in thread „Music for Chisum“

Had to delete my post already... for some reason I was up late and got a wild you know what you know where... all of them are done and some of you know where they are. If you don't then please ask those who do, like gt12pk... Enjoy!

P.S. The two you wanted in Rio Bravo... I had to find and the 2nd one also had Walter singing in it.

That's why I moved them off of here... everyone else can go to blazes. I'm too old and sick to care about some stupid recording companies threats. Plus I'm not selling anything or accepting any money or donations. They go after the big bootleggers. If they were that desperate to get people then every one on this forum would be in trouble because we all have an avatar or signature this is protected under federal copyright laws because they are all images or phrases from one of the Duke's movies. Plus there are so many other forums for other actors or famous people that all do the same thing, making avatars, signatures or whatever as their ID's on forums, blogs, etc.

As you may have noticed I removed all my music links... no I didn't loose the storage space but I decided to get my old domain back. I found a really nice and inexpensive hosting service to keep my files on rather than paying someone else for space I have my own space and I can do what I want with it.

So here are the links to the music again but from a different source.

    Brannigan
    Chisum
    Comancheros
    El Dorado
    Hondo
    Sons of Katie Elder
    The High and The Mighty
    The Shootist
    The War Wagon

You can also check out the construction of the website I'll be using to display my photos of the celebration in May.

How its going? I have just about all the John Wayne movies that are on LP and CD. Yes I have the Alamo. As a matter of fact I have three issues that are CD. I do not have Hondo because it was not release on LP. Maybe some of the others have a computer line that you can hook up to. I'll try to relay the playlists later today.

You don't belong to "Oink" do you? I'll have to work on music later this week. I have some doctor appointments to keep out-of-town.

Thanks for that. Don't suppose you'd like to share anymore would you?

    Like?

Wonder if we could make a music thread... since Kevin started a YouTube link... maybe a .wav or .mp3 link so it can play like the birthday celebration website plays music in the background.

I've had credit cards for over 25 years. Never had a problem ordering online either. I've heard the horror stories and besides the ID theft ones, I think as long as you be careful who you buy from and budget your spending you'll do okay. For the last 4 years, I haven't had to leave the house to do my Xmas shopping. Everything was done 100% online, free shipping and all but a couple things came through okay. Some companies do millions of dollars of business online. I buy a lot of things from Amazon as long as it says Sold By Amazon your okay. Stay away from the 3rd party vendors on Amazon. I had a major problem with one company called AntOnline. I ordered ink cartridges thru Amazon but from this AntOnline. They sent me damaged goods and wouldn't make good. But Amazon has a guarantee policy. They made good on the 3rd party vendors screw up.

I do 95% of my business online from clothes, to toothpaste, to inkjet paper. It's all in how you can manage your money and what sites you can trust. And nowadays credit cards companies guarantee your purchases for the most part.

Your profile says your 20... assuming that's right all PayPal needs is a checking account to process payments. If that's not possible there is always Western Union. Most college students have credit card companies begging for you to try their cards. If your worried about credit, just don't let the balance go past 30 days... good way to start off in life with a small limit card and a budget.

The Creative Labs WaveStudio came with the sound card. Roxio Sound Editor usually comes with a CD burner as it's base software. AutoGK is free and FairUse Wizard 2 can be gotten off any private BT site.

Curiosity... why can't you pay for them? They are fairly cheap to buy if you have to. What's the reason?

I myself do that occasionally, but what program do you use?

Depending on what I want it for I have 4 different programs I can use. Quick and easy I use Creative Labs WaveStudio or Roxio SoundEditor and set it at "What You Hear!" Or if I want high quality I use AutoGK or FairUse Wizard 2 and strip the audio from the DVD's at a higher quality.

So does this mean that you have the soundtrack Dakota??

No... I don't have the soundtrack, I got it off the DVD. I can do just about anything with the equipment I have available.
