Thanks, guys. She had the prettiest long hair but wanted it cut. When her Mom brought her in my house, I had to do a double take. If I had a hat like Mattie's, I'd have put it on her. lol

I wasn't sure where to post this, but since I observed it, this seems the likely place, lol My kids all got together over Thanksgiving and I saw my grand daughter with her new haircut for the first time and automatically thought "Oh my, she looks just like Kim Darby in True Grit. Here is a pic, am I right or what? lol

I'm in total agreement also. I was flabergasted when I heard the verdict read. WHAT? And to hear that the jury didn't want to be interviewed after the verdict tells me a lot. They knew people would be up in arms thinking (knowing) they got it wrong.

Casey won't have peace. She can't go anywhere she isn't known and the frost and hatred she will feel from others won't be justice enough, but hell will be waiting.

I'm glad to hear you and your family is doing ok after such a tragedy, Taka. Thanks for letting us know, as I'm sure you were in our thoughts when we first heard about what happened in Japan. Keep us updated as you can, friend. Be safe.

I was just wondering - have any of you folks watched the so-called prequel to "Lonesome Dove"? The title is "Comanche Moon" and it stars Val Kilmer plus others with whom I'm not familiar. Supposedly, it's a pretty good Western. Amazon has it for $9.99, which is a very good price for 200-and-something minutes of Western action.

I have it, Stumpy. While Commanche Moon (Prequel) and Streets of Loredo (Sequel) don't come close to the greatness that was Lonesome Dove, they arn't bad on their own. For $9.99, you can't go wrong. There's also another prequel out there titled Dead Man's Walk that was my least favorite out of the series, but bearable to watch. If you can get any of these for that price, grab them.

It's not you, Stumpy. It drives me nuts. As I get older, my hearing isn't what it use to be, and the more difficult I find it to hear some dialogue in films over the background music. Like you said....Aggravating!!!!

That is very, very impressive, Stumpy. Thanks for sharing it with us. I wonder, why is it now illegal to sell a Medal of Honor? I can't imagine a person selling his medal, but I am sure there have been occasion that some have.

I would love to know how they justify the high cost of pills these days. Being mass produced, wouldn't that bring the cost down? My Mother-In-Law lives with me and is on so many meds, I hate to see her swallow them all. And most of them send me into sticker shock when I see what we pay for them. Does it really cost that much to make them?

Im bout ready to buy a set of clippers and just give myself GI haircuts if they get any higher in town.

Already done that. Went and bought clippers half a year ago. The wife cuts mine now, close with a #2. I loved my hair longer years ago, but now I keep it short.

Well, I guess I'm still better off now. My older tapes were really starting to degrade. By putting them on a DVD, I bought some time. I guess every 5 or 6 years, I'll have to transfer them from old DVD to new DVD. Kinda like cloning.

Be careful burning VCRs to CD or DVD. They won't last more than about 6 years.

Is that true? Why only 6 years? Do they just degrade even if not played much? I must confess...I know little about it, but my wife got me a DVD-Video player that copies both ways for Christmas. I thought I finally found a way to keep my taped stuff forever. Bummer.

I heard about that also, ladybug. I will never understand how people can do such a thing. It was all done in the name of cheating. They wanted the SS checks to keep coming. I just can't understand, and don't want to, on how someone can dispose of a "loved one" in such fashion. Ug!
