Posts from The Ringo Kid in thread „Any (American) football fans here?“

Glad you're still talking to me Hondo. It appears that offense has finally gotten together. The only thing is Tennessee controls their own destiny, not us. GRRRRR.

Ringo. I wouldn't advise smashing one of those steel cans upside your forehead.

Hi Jay, it does look like Brett Favre has found his second wind. We'll know in a couple of weeks when they play Dallas.

Maybe that's whats wrong with me - smashed too many steel cans into my forehead when I was younger   NOT.

Ringo, I'll agree with you that football was just soooo much better back then than it is now. The players just seemed to be so much tougher. I used to enjoy the rivalry between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Oakland Raiders. Terry Bradshaw and Kenny Stabler. Now those were the good times in football.

Hi GT, same here. And speaking of Ken "the snake" Stabler. Did I ever mention that I still have an opened Pepsi Cola can that is painted a blueish color and has something to do with Kenny Stabler. This can was in the days when sodas came in steel cans instead of aluminum cans.

Well, I wish I could say I was a Football Fan but, I really have not enjoyed a game ever since the Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburg Steelers played their famous Superbowl Game sometime in the mid seventies. It was Roger Staubach against Terry Bradshaw. I remember watching that game and I have to admit, that it sure was a great game. I loved all the hype that went with it starting a good two or so months before it was played. All I can say is, that those were the days of watching some great Football. :-))

I sure do miss watching players like: the above mentioned as well as #41 Charlie Waters, Ed "Too Tall" Jones, "Refridgerator" Perry etc etc.
