And he had this to say about John Wayne. Billy Idol sounds like a alright guy in my book.

Of his new song “John Wayne,” Idol says, “When I'm singing it, I'm thinking about the characters John Wayne played. They were usually men with a flaw in their character or something dark in their past they're trying to rise above before the end of the movie. So it's not about the kick-in-the-door John Wayne or the barroom fight John Wayne -- it's more the man who overcomes.”

I've got a friend who is a huge Billy Idol fan, and they sent me that song knowing I was a huge Duke fan, and I really like it, I don't like that much of his stuff, but I really like this one.

I'm currently listening to a Chris LeDoux mix CD I have in the stereo, up to Life Is A Highway at the moment.

The Cowboy Song - Garth Brooks

I love this song, it describes how I think a cowboy should be, reminds me of Duke actually.

    Just clicked over to,

    Troubadour - George Strait.

I can't get enough of this album, George is a living legend, in every sense of the word.

Seems a lot of the old rock bands are releasing new discs again :)

I'm listening to If Tomorrow Never Comes(Live) by Garth Brooks.

    Garth at his best..

Just wanted to add, I picked up George Strait's new album last week, Troubadour, awesome as usual from George, the title track is probably my favourite.

That Girl Is A Cowboy by Garth Brooks.

I've had one of my friends tell me, this song is "my song". :D
If you've heard this song, then you'll know what I'm talking about when I say that it really touched me for that friend to say it.

Standing Outside The Fire by Garth Brooks.

Life is not tried, it is merely survived, if you're standing outside the fire.

Can't get much truer than that line there.

That is so true Viper. I was a bit skeptical after the last one, but I had no reason to be.

    I'm listening to
The Beaches Of Cheyenne by Garth Brooks.
I'm just having one of those days that only Garth can make better.

I didn't really like the last Alan album either Viper. I love Small Town Southern Man from the new one though, it's the only track I've heard so far, can't wait to buy the album.

I'm listening to Where Your Road Leads by Trisha Yearwood.
This song was written by the one and only Garth Brooks who also provides the backing vocals...one of my favourite Trisha songs.

I'm listening to You're Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone by Brooks & Dunn.

I saw these two in concert last Friday, absolutely phenomonal, had the best time of my life.

I've heard the first single from the AJ album Viper, and if the rest of the album is as good as this first single, we're in for a treat. Alan back at his best!

Currently I'm listening to The Thunder Rolls by Garth Brooks.
From The Ultimate Hits album, which I've listened to about 4 times today.

Sort of ironic that Waylon, Johnny, Willie were once rejected by Country, because they were the "Outlaws", and were considered too Rock to be country, now they're considered legends.

The stages that country goes through, you can't really define true country.

    Anyway, enough rambling from me.
I'm listening to When You Come Back To Me Again by Garth Brooks
