Good picture, Paula. Take a good look and Alan Ladd is standing on a raised platform while everyone else has their boots on the real floor.

Just saw the Blu Ray of "Shane" and spent most of the time with my jaw dropped. The correct aspect ratio and improved picture quality make this a must even for those of us who are not normally big fans of this film.
The visual detailing is the best I've ever seen. If you have the correct hardware, please check this one out.

Great photos and I love that one sheet. "Shane, Shane, Shane" made me think of "Chain, chain, chain. Chain of fools".

Shane is the one classic that needs a remake (not counting Pale Rider).
Ladd doesn't do much for modern audiences and although I generally loathe the whole idea of redoing a good film, this one didn't stand the test of time -
Shane's buckskins could be worn by one of the Village People.
Maybe Kurt Russell could provide that world weary look of a tired gunslinger
who envies a poor dirt farmer and his family.
