Martin Milner was also in a movie with Duke. He was in Operation Pacific in 1951. This is a very sad day for me. He was one of my favorites. RIP Pete!

I just got word that Andrew V. McLaglen, director in a lot of John Wayne movies has died on August 31, 2014. He was 94 years old. I found this in a newspaper from where he lived. http://www.sanjuanjournal.com/news/273668601.html So sad to see him go.
R.I.P. Andrew. You directed so many great pictures, like McLintock!, Chisum, Cahill, U.S. Marshal.

And though I thought he was a fine man and actor, he was not my favorite and didn't care for him in the movie he did with Duke. But my favorite of him was in The Great Escape. R.I.P. Richard Attenborough. And I just remembered I also liked him in The Flight of the Phoenix with James Stewart.

Sad to see all those I grew up with as a child go. RIP Russell and Dave. You touched me as a child in entertaining me and so many others. They may not been the stars but they were the glue to hold together those shows in their own ways. Am I getting old.

James Gandolfini was my age. I didn't see the series on HBO and not a big fan of his, but sorry for his death.

Lived a great life. Funny that she hasn't made a movie since 1961. R.I.P. Esther.

Eddie was such a wonderful drummer. I just loved the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, and the drumming from Eddie was classic. He did a solo one time back in the 70's that lasted over 5 minutes and Johnny just let him go for it. Being a drummer himself, he appreciated the skills he provided. It was classic. I was a preteen and just happen to catch it one night and was really impressed. I recalled Johnny say, "Now, that is a drummer and Eddie is the man!" It was soooooo coooooool! I never forgot his name, well his first name anyway.
RIP Eddie

RIP Steve. I did like him as a kid on S.W.A.T. Just the kind of show that was full of action for a kid like me in the 70's.

R.I.P. to George, Danna, and Virginia. All very good in their time here and made their marks in the entertainment industry. So sad to see so many go.

Oh WOW! Earl Weaver has passed? I thought he passed away years ago, he was so old years ago when he retired. But so sorry to hear. Had a great career as Manager. Thought he was older than 82. Just a little older than my dad (may he rest in peace). R.I.P. Coach!

I just watched him Sunday week ago on TCM in 3 Godfathers. What a great movie and seeing such an icon leave us is so sad. It saddens me to see them all go. And he was so good. Not the biggest actors out there, but seemed to have a big heart.
R.I.P. Dobe. You're walking to the sunset to see your dad, Duke, Pappy, and so many others. It is sad to see them go. What a life!

The last surviving member of the movie 12 Angry Men has passed away. Jack Klugman was a great actor who will most be remembered as Oscar Madison in The Odd Couple or Quincey ME. He was 90 years old. My fondest memory was in The Odd Couple.
He will be missed.

I really liked Larry Hagman. He was really a good actor. I remember best in I Dream of Jeannie back in the 1960's. That showed competed with Bewitched. And I liked both. I watched Dallas a few times, but I was a teenager/young adult and didn't see the show that much. He also made a cameo appearance as an army colonal in the first Superman movie with Christopher Reeves back in 1979(?), I think. Just a time that those great preformers of the 60's/70's are leaving us now. Can't believe it how old I am getting.
R.I.P. Tony Nelson/J.R. Ewing. You will be missed.

I remember Collins in The Sixth Sense back in 1972, and Born Free in 1974. I remember liking his acting. I don't remember him in The Iron Horse (1966) or The Wackiest Ship in the Army (1965). Thought he was pretty cool. R.I.P. Gary

A really good football player who played for the Detroit Lions in the 60's (mostly) and got a kick out of him playing Mongo on Blazing Saddles.
A true loss but from what I heard he was suffering so thankful that his pain is now gone.

WOW! Just heard about Andy Williams. His music was timeless and I must say just wonderful. Just sad to see these people go. R.I.P. Andy. We are losing a bunch of classics.
