Rest in Peace, Mr. Brown.

Rest in peace, Raquel.
I just heard Kenny Rodgers passed away. He had many great hits. I still can't sit at a poker table with my friends without at least once singing, "You got to know when to hold them..." May the Gambler rest in peace.
Mark
Wow. He was one of those I thought were already passed. May he rest in peace.

So sad to hear about Tim Conway. The man was a classic! Watching The Carol Burnett show when I was younger, he often had me doubled over, unable to breath. Rest in Peace, Tim.
Being born and raised in Maryland, the death of Frank Robinson was pretty big news here. He was the catalyst for the Orioles run of 4 World Series between 1966 and 1971. he is the only man to have won the MVP in both leagues, and the only man to win Manager of the Year in both leagues. He was also the only man to hit a home run completely out of Memorial Stadium. I could go on and on, but you get my drift. The man was amazing! Rest in Peace, Frank. And thanks for the memories!

My heart goes out to him and his family.
When he first came on M.A.S.H, I didn't care for his character, but he did grow on me. Rest in Peace, Major Winchester.

I remember first seeing him in Southern Comfort. He did such a good job in Deadwood, that I really hated his character. A very good actor who will be missed.
Use to love his show back in the day. Remember in the movie, Rain Man, Hoffman's character would freak out if he couldn't get to a tv to see Judge Wapner. "Time for Wapner!"

Bill Paxton was a good actor. He had many great roles in many enjoyable films. I really enjoyed his character Earl in Two Guns and Master Sergeant Farell in Edge of Tomorrow. He will be missed.

May he rest in peace. A brave soldier.

So did I, Kevin. I enjoyed both of those shows. I'm sorry to hear she passed. Last I heard, Dick Van Duke is still doing well.
I always enjoyed his Support Your local Sheriff and Support Your Local Gunfighter movies. Rest in Peace, Mr. Garner.

She did so many other things, but she was always Alice to me. It is sad to hear of her passing. Rest in peace, Alice.
Mark
She had a long career on stage and television, but she will always be Edith to me. Rest in peace.
Mark
I know she is not universally revered in the UK but this Yank will always have a grea deal of respect for her. The Iron Lady and Ronnie Ray-gun were the right leaders at the right time for both our countries IMHO.
Well said. May she rest in peace.

Mindy McCready seems to have had a very troubled life. May she finally find the peace she couldn't have here. Truly sad.

Oh WOW! Earl Weaver has passed? I thought he passed away years ago, he was so old years ago when he retired. But so sorry to hear. Had a great career as Manager. Thought he was older than 82. Just a little older than my dad (may he rest in peace). R.I.P. Coach!

Here's a picture of him this past summer when they were unveiling one of the Oriole Hall of Fame statues at Camden Yards. From left is Cal Ripken Jr, Eddie Murray, Earl Weaver, Brooks Robinson, Frank Robinson and Jim Palmer. All these men played under most of Earl's Years as manager. They made him great as well as vice versa.

Also, Earl Weaver, the temperamental long time former manager of the Baltimore Orioles, died this morning while on a cruise with his wife.
He was 82.
Being a Baltimore born and raised man myself, this truly was a sad thing to hear. Earl Weaver was beloved by anyone (except Umpires) who followed the Baltimore Orioles from the 60's through the eighties. While at the helm, his teams finished with 90 or more wins in 12 of the 15 seasons from 1968 to 1982. They won 100 or more games 4 times and went to 4 World Series. The Orioles, this past season, had statues of their 6 members of the Hall of Fame erected at Oriole Park At Camden Yards, Earl's being one of them. I am glad he lived long enough to see that happen and to know he is still loved here in Baltimore. He passed away on a cruise with his wife while part of an Oriole function, so you can say he passed doing what he loved. He was known as "The Earl of Baltimore" and he will be missed.
