I remember Ritter did a song back in the early 60's, I think, called Hillbilly Heaven. I'm pretty sure it made the pop charts despite being a country song. I remember hearing it on the radio many times.

I remember seeing alot of Tex Ritter westerns when I was a kid. It was during the 50's and in the infancy of tv, there was never a shortness of westerns to view. He was always one of my favorites with that deep baritone and Texas drawl. Years later, when John Ritter made his mark, I found it hard to believe they were father and son. Talk about opposite career paths.
