Posts from Dooley in thread „Films You Watched Again and again Over the Years (10 times or more)“

I'm bound to regret this as i'll forget loads! In no particular order:

    Some like it hot
    Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
    Halloween
    Magnificent 7
    Throne of blood
    Great Escape
    Bridge on the river Kwai
    Pale Rider
    Sergio Leone Western trilogy
    Ride lonesome
    It's a Wonderful Life
    Cool Hand Luke
    The Wizard of Oz
    Planet of the apes (original)
    Raiders of the lost Ark
    Mark of Zorro (Power)
    The Sea Hawk (Flynn)
    Robin Hood (Flynn)
    Gentleman Jim
    Bladerunner
    Superman the Movie
    Tarzan the Ape Man (Weissmuller)
    M fritz Lang
    The black cat (Lugosi)

    Coraline
    The Right Stuff

I think other films will get there, Tombstone, Gran Torino but they haven't been out long enough to catch up with the others yet!

I didn't list any Duke films as that's a given, as I'm on this forum, that they get watched regularly!;-)

Being too old, too lazy and too technically challenged to find "what was the last western you watched?" thread, I'll toss it here because it is a film I've watched probably 100 times since the 1960s - "The Professionals".

I've been playing with my new Blu Ray player, tried this title out today and it was glorious. The colors were deep and resonant, the sound crisp, and some of the Spanish/Mexican lines had subtitles in English which added new information to an upstate New York gringo.

    We deal in lead, friend.

    Hi Gorch,
Totally agree with you on The Professionals. I too watched it recently on Blu ray and the transfer is truly wonderful. All this a Claudia Cardinale too!
