Posts from Gorch in thread „Books on Duke's Directors“

"Escape Artist", The Life and Films of John Sturges written by Glenn Lovell, Wisconsin Film Studies, 2008.

There's a nice section devoted to "McQ".

Also, fudging on the topic a bit, there's a fantastic book by one of Duke's Assistant Directors on "The Alamo". "Not so Quiet on the Set", My Life in Movies During Hollywood's Macho Era written by Robert E. Relyea, iUniverse, Inc., 2008.

Relyea's tour of duty on "The Alamo" is a highlight, but I understand that this really doesn't fit the criteria of this topic.

    We deal in lead, friend.
