Posts from chester7777 in thread „9000+ Post Club“

The Mrs. and I just rolled over to 9900 posts, and I have to say, we don't have as many good friends in any other venue we are involved in, as we have here.

We thank all of you for making this place such a great and fun place to be !!!

Chester :newyear: and the Mrs. :angel1:

Euteva.....quite unusual. I have never heard it either. Do you know where it came from? KPKEITH

My understanding was it was also one of her aunts that had the same name, and it was of American Indian origin. But I'm not positive about the origin.

    Chester :newyear:

Yes, congrats, my but that is a lot of posts! So,am I correct in thinking the KEITH is Ethan Edwards? My first name is Keith, and I am a 62 year old woman. I have traveled all over and have never met another woman with a first name of Keith. I have had GREAT fun with this name....and proud of it as it was my grandfather's name, Will Keith Hawks.

Yes, an unusual name for a woman, indeed. However, my mother's name was Euteva, and I, too, have never met another one in all my life.

While I am here speaking to 2 Keiths, I would like to take the time to congratulate Keith (aka ethanedwards) on his most recent milestone,
    9100 posts!

I've heard there are similar reports from the local fire department in Totnes as in Prattville, Alabama. Better keep the fan goin' and a fire extinguisher nearby!

    Keith (aka ethanedwards),

WELCOME to the 9000+ Posts Club!

You (again!) slipped quietly past another milestone (this time a BIG one), and are now 26 beyond.

Thanks for your many years of dedication here, and your many, many informative posts, that make this THE place to come to learn anything and everything about our hero, John Wayne!!

    Fond regards,

Jim and Sue (aka Chester :newyear: and the Mrs. :angel1:)

Considering the time difference between us, it's probably not even late . . . but you know what they say . . . "Better late than never . . . ."

Thanks, Arthur! We so appreciate it!

    Regards,

Chester :newyear: and the Mrs. :angel1:

Wow . . . just realized it's taken us a year to log 200 posts! Pretty slow for us, but life is about the same - I'm commuting and working and the Mrs. has the same activities going on, and our kids are getting older . . . .

Anyway, thanks for your congrats and your friendly thoughts! They mean so much!

Chester :newyear: and the Mrs. :angel1:

Wow, y'all! Thank you so much!

If anyone's a slowpoke around here, it seems to be us. Sorry we haven't been around so much.

I (Chester) have begun working full time again, after having been retired for 4 years. I have a 3-hour round trip commute, to get to my full-time (and sometimes overtime) job. The Mrs. and I hear the alarm beeping at us starting at 4:30 AM:cry2:. Mrs. C sends me off to work with "breakfast in my belly and lunch in my bucket" and a thermos of coffee, too. Needless to say, we need to get to bed pretty early , and by the time I get home, I'm pretty beat :dead:.

Mrs. C continues to be busy homeschooling our 2 youngest kids, working part time, volunteering for Little League and Boy Scouts, and serving our church as well.

We sure miss hanging out here, and are so grateful for the friendship of folks like Keith, Mark, Jay and Mike (to name just a few).

So . . . thank you so much for your kind remarks. At the rate we've been around here, it might take another 6 months for the next hundred.

Looking forward to catching up here at the JWMB,

Chester :newyear: and the Mrs. :angel1:

Mark, Keith, Gorch, Moonshine Sally, ringo kid, Arthur, Carl, smokey, and Murray,

Thanks for your kind words! We surely appreciate our fellowship with you, and hope it continues for a good long time!

It's the combined efforts of everybody here that make this message board what it is. Thanks to all of you for your continued support and marvelous contributions! Without you, it wouldn't happen!

Jim and Sue (aka Chester :newyear: and the Mrs. :angel1:)

It's been awhile since a new post club has been started (almost 11 months). Plenty has happened around here - new members have joined, some members have drifted away. Folks have moved their physical location, but are still able to find their way here and have some fellowship with John Wayne fans from around the world.

We've been members here for over 7 years, and continue to have our hearts warmed by the fellowship we have found here. We have friends from all around the world!! Though we not have met most of you in person, we have come to know many of you, and count you as friends.

We dedicate this 9000th post to all of you who make the JWMB the great place that it is!

    Fond regards to all,

Chester :newyear: and the Mrs. :angel1:
