Thanks Jim! At the silent auction with over thirty items on display. The one thing that caught my eye was a souvenir program book printed in 1960 and sold at the premiere of movie for a dollar. As a thirteen year old for the lack of a quater I was unable to buy this book back then. I wanted that book so bad. Well I now own one of these books. But at the cost of 225 dollars. Boy talk about inflation.

This was a great event. I can not think of another movie that after being 50 years old, that you can fill a movie theater and get people to pay 30 dollars ahead. On saturday the Alamo had reinactors and demonstrations. The dinner with live band music and silent and live auction was great fun. As a surpise the lady who danced on the table in the movie in the cantina, again performed the same dance on a table in front of the Alamo. Her Name is Rosita Fernandez and she still teaches dance in San Antonio.(She in her 70s)
I did not take any pictures but I did meet UK Alamo John who took alot of pictures and stated he would post them.
On sunday Alamo village was open to add a perfect end to a great weekend.
