Posts from The Ringo Kid in thread „Great Chase Scenes.“

Another great chase scene is in the great Charlton Heston movie: The Mountain Men W/ Brien Keith. The part where he is captured by some Indians and is given a "chance" to live when they tell him to run and is given a certain amount of time but he leave the Indian village by walking slowly. After a certain amount of time, several Indians start their hunt and chase after him. Well, you know the rest of the story.

One movie I that I,am thinking of is The Naked Prey. Directed and staring Cornel Wilde. The whole movie is a chase scene on foot through the plains of Africa.

Hi Bill, that was an excellent movie. Ill second your vote on it.

Also, another that comes to mind is my all-time most favorite James Stewart Western--which is: Winchester 73. Him and Millard (High Spade) Mitchell, chasing Stephen (Matthew McAdams *AKA* Dutch Henry Brown) McNally. Thats one non Duke Western I never tire of.

My all time most favorite chase scene(s) is with Buster Keaton in: The General. Others I favor greatly are: Steve McQueen in: Bullitt and in The Hunter, Fess Parker in: The Great Locomotive Chase, William Holden in: Escape From Fort Bravo, Duke in: The Searchers, Lancaster and Scofield in: The Train, Mitchum and Jurgens in: The Enemy Below, Heston in: Major Dundee and Hamill followed by Darth Vader in the Deathstars Trench in: Star Wars. I could go on almost forever.
