Little bit of an update, though about a year or so too late. Has anybody bought the Blu-ray version of The Last Command put out by Kino Lorber? I bought mine when first available, either last year or 2019. Can't remember which. Certainly a long time coming and worth the wait. Kino Lorber has been putting out some other great movies too, some that I have picked up. Westerns, El Paso, The Long Riders, and Yellow Sky. Many others available.

Great stills, I only had a VHS TV copy, of this movie,
but I'm glad I did because it looks hard to get these days!I to have a VHS copy, plus I made a couple of DVD copies. One off the VHS, and one off of TCM the last time it was shown.

I checked Olive Films web site, Karl, and they showed nothing about The Last Command being on DVD.

The part about parts of the Last Command script ending up in the Alamo is really the other way around. John Wayne and James Edward Grant already had the script that Wayne wanted to use way back in the late 40's for the Alamo movie he wanted to do. When Yates refused to allow Wayne to direct & produce his version, Wayne left Republic to start Batjac. But the script stayed with Yates who used some of it when he decided to make an Alamo movie focused on Jim Bowie.
